European Manager of Intelligent and Responsible Territories – GETIR

LLP – LEONARDO DA VINCI, Multilateral projects for Development of innovation, 2011-2012
Project number: 510283-LLP-1-2010-1-ES-LEONARDO-LMP

The GETIR profile is an answer to the growing European demand of professionals with required technical competences to lead a process of implementation and valorization of models of Sustainable Local Development within Intelligent and Responsible Territories. This profile is based on a new corpus of policies of Local Development which up to now have been professionally dispersed: social capital; governance and social participation; strategic management of knowledge in the territory and territorial social responsibility.
GETIR becomes the link between European policy of Sustainable Local Development in this global society of knowledge and implementation into the territory and in the same time, it improves the communication between the European and the local/regional levels.

The general aim of the project is to give an answer to the actual demand on the European labour market, in the local development sector where the same type of training and skills have been used for the last 10 years – by defining the professional training curriculum and by testing a new European profile called European Manager of Intelligent and Responsible Territories.

Specific aims:
  • To define, test and validate at a European level, both the professional profile and competences of GETIR, including also the contents of its training curriculum.
  • To design, test, validate and translate a blended learning pedagogical tool, thought from the perspective of an EU sustainable local development model which must be flexible and adaptable according to the reality of each country.
  • To create a virtual community 2.0 of GETIR in order to be used as a support of the training tool and the networking, dialogue and exchange among professionals and territories.
  • To develop an innovative pedagogical process focused on cooperative learning, social learning, learning territories and knowledge regions.
  • To translate the main documents, tools and profile in English, and in all the languages of the partners in order to assure its dissemination, transfer and strong multiplier effect of the products of the project.
