By assuring the interface between the academic environment and the practitioners, the Romanian Institute for Adult Education organizes the framework for debates and reflections for all the actors involved in adult education, governmental representatives, researchers, representatives of the professional associations, practitioners, on the main issues in adult education.
 
Since 2000, IREA has settled in its audience with prestigious, national and international, scientifical events, meant to promote and develop the field of adult education; the series of National Conference for Adult Education, Adult Learners’ Week, but also other international conferences, seminars and workshops.
