Project: „Creativity in Art&Design for Learners and Educators“ - CrADLE
Dear reader,
we are happy to share with you the first CrADLE newsletter.
The CrADLE project aims at developing and expanding the competencies of teachers who
educate the elderly(54+) in specialized visual expression workshops with an emphasis on using
innovative solutions as tools and teaching methods. The specificity of the program that will be
developed through this project is that it will educate those teachers who carry out educational
programs for the elderly (54+).
The CrADLE project partners are:

2) Ljudska Univerza Ormož, Ormož, Slovenia - partner
3) IREA - Institut Român de Educaţie a Adulţilor, Timisoara, Romania - partner
4) RUTIS - Association Rede de Universidades da Terceira Idade, Almeirim, Portugal - partner
During the project we are going to develop curriculums for 11 creative workshops and create a
manual for teachers who educate the elderly.The manual will enable educators to acquire
additional competencies for teaching the elderly more adequately and efficiently. It will focus
on teaching methodology and guidelines on how to understand the elderly, their needs and
problems. The manual will also be of great value to younger teachers. Furthermore, teachers will
be able to share this newly acquired knowledge with colleagues in their schools and institutions
where they work
In its totality, the project contributes to raising awareness of the importance of creative
expression and creation in the healthy aging process.
After the project is completed, the main dissemination event is planned - the final conference of
the project where the results of the project will be publicly presented.
